Young striker Jody ah Shene could be given another opportunity to get game time on loan in the coming season, after spending a few months with University of Pretoria in the second half of last season.
Ah Shene left Cape Town City to sign for Mamelodi Sundowns, but was immediately loaned out to AmaTuks, though he struggled for form and game time with the Tshwane outfit, who have parted ways with head coach Kwanele Kopo.

While he was still at AmaTuks, Kopo revealed that there were challenges Ah Shene was facing and still needed to settle into life in Gauteng, and that could still be the case going into the coming campaign. Competition for places at Sundowns, in the striking department, is high and it's believed that the feeling within the club is that it would be best for the junior international to go out on loan again.
Sundowns have Brayan Leon and Iqraam Rayners as their main strikers, while young Bennet Mokoena is expected to feature in the first team a lot more after the impressive campaign he had in the DStv Diski Challenge, where he finished as top scorer. Mokoena scored against German Bundesliga side Redbull Leipzig in an end of the season friendly and it's believed head coach Miguel Cardoso wants to see more of him in the first team next season.

Sundowns also have to make a call on winger Aphelele Teto, who was on loan to AmaTuks. Teto enjoyed regular game time under Kopo, but it's unclear at this stage if the door to first team football at Sundowns will be opened next season. There is a possibility for another loan spell for the former TS Galaxy winger.
