Orlando Pirates forward Oswin Appollis has seen his market valuation skyrocket since joining the club at the beginning of the season from Polokwane City.
Appollis was a subject of intense transfer speculation before he was announced by Pirates at the beginning of the campaign from Rise and Shine, where he was valued at just €800, 000 (R15,3 m) at the end of the 2023/24 term, by transfer website Transfermarkt.

The Bafana Bafana winger hit the ground running at the Buccaneers, becoming one of the main players in attack and after a few months at Ezimnyama, the 24-year old was already weighted at €1,5 million (R28,7 m).
Amidst being arguably one of the contenders for major awards at the end of the season and also on the back of scoring 12 goals and having nine assists in all competitions for the Soweto giants, Appollis' valuation has risen to €2 million (R38,3 m), which has seen him go up to joint top with Relebohile Mofokeng, as the most valued players at the club.
The former SuperSport United winger is ranked number six on the list of the most valued players in the PSL, with all five players ahead of him from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Apart from Iqraam Rayners, who is valued at €3 million (R57,5), Marcelo Allende and Teboho Mokoena valued at €2,5 million (R47,9), all in the top three, the likes of Tashreeq Matthews (R46m) and Nuno Santos (R42 m) are within reach for Appollis, who is one of the players guaranteed a place in the Bafana Bafana squad heading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 24-year-old's value could go even higher, should Pirates win their first Betway Premiership title in 14 years and so would Mofokeng's.
