The World Plays.
Africa Sees.
Matchday Global is a football media brand built around the African and global game. Coverage spans the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Champions League, AFCON, NPFL, and the African players writing chapters across the world.
Our mission
Cover world football with the deepest African lens. Every match in the leagues we cover gets a fixture page, a probability-first prediction, a live in-play feed, and a post-match report. Every African player abroad is tracked through an Africans-Abroad rail. Every fact we publish is sourced from the original publisher we credit, or from the data feeds (API-Football, SportMonks, football-data.org) we name.
Predictions run on a Poisson model against real bookmaker odds — the same math professionals use, transparent to the reader. We never lead with betting copy in headlines, and we always show the uncertainty of a prediction (probability bands, not just the pick).
Editorial standards
Every article published on Matchday Global is governed by a public editorial code: how we source, how we verify, how we attribute, when we correct, and how we disclose AI assistance. Read the full policy:

Masthead
The named editorial team responsible for the byline you see on every article.

Oluwatayo Omoniyi
Founder & Senior Publisher
Oluwatayo is Matchday Global’s senior publisher and leads the numbers desk. He writes the weekend previews, the Champions League nights, the Poisson-model predictions and the tactical features that go under the scores. His beat is every priority league we cover — Premier League through NPFL — whenever the story is about data, form, expected goals, or the thin line between a good call and a lucky one.

Tony Gege
Junior Publisher
Tony is Matchday Global’s junior publisher and the byline behind the secondary-league beat — Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Eredivisie, Liga Portugal and MLS — plus match reports and opinion across world football. He writes the title-race chapters, the cup-night reports, and the column work that sits next to the senior desk’s analysis.
Editorial expansion across additional named correspondents is on the 2026-Q3 roadmap; named freelance contributors will be added to this masthead before their first byline runs.
Ownership & funding
Matchday Global is a trademark and brand owned and operated by El-Kairos International Services, a Nigeria-registered company. The brand was founded in 2026 and is headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. There is no undisclosed sponsorship, no ghost-written paid editorial, and no commercial party has any influence over our editorial line. Sponsored content, when present, is labelled “Sponsored” with the partner named on the unit.

Betting & responsible gambling

We never lead with betting copy in headlines, we always show the uncertainty of a prediction (probability bands, not just the pick), and every gambling-adjacent unit on the site carries the 18+ marker plus a pointer to BeGambleAware.org. If gambling has become a problem for you or someone you know, please contact your local helpline (NCPG, GamCare, or BeGambleAware) for free, confidential support.
