Who we are

Matchday Global is a football media brand owned and operated by El-Kairos International Services (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our CEO is Oluwatayo Omoniyi. Contact us at privacy@matchday-global.com for any question about this policy or how your data is handled.

What we collect

• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, the topic interests you pick, and the time of your sign-up. This lets us send you the daily football brief and segment the list so you only get what you asked for.
• Comments and contact form submissions: your name, email, and the message you sent us.
• Analytics: aggregated, anonymised data about which pages you visit, how long you stay, the device and browser you use, and the country your IP resolves to. We do not sell or share raw IPs.
• Affiliate tracking: when you click a betting partner link we record the click so we can calculate commission. We do not see what you bet on, whether you deposited, or any activity inside the partner’s site.
• Cookies: strictly necessary (session, CSRF), plus optional analytics and preference cookies you can opt out of at any time.

Why we process it

• To send you the newsletter you explicitly signed up for.
• To respond to your message when you contact us.
• To understand which stories resonate so we can write more of what you read.
• To calculate affiliate commissions with our betting partners.
• To comply with our legal obligations (tax records, fraud prevention).

Our legal bases are: consent (newsletter, optional cookies), contract performance (responding to you), and legitimate interest (analytics + fraud prevention, balanced against your rights).

Who we share it with

We only share data with processors who help us run the site:

• MailerLite — newsletter delivery (EU servers).
• Netlify — hosting and request logs.
• Supabase — database for sign-ups and affiliate clicks.
• API-Football, SportMonks, football-data.org, The Odds API — read-only data feeds; they do not receive any personal information from us.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers beyond the aggregated analytics described above. If we ever expand our processor list, this page gets updated first.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe, plus 30 days to confirm the request.
• Analytics: 26 months in aggregate, then purged.
• Affiliate click logs: 24 months (needed to reconcile partner invoices).
• Contact form threads: 12 months after the last reply.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to: show you what we hold about you, correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, port it elsewhere, or object to processing. Email privacy@matchday-global.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

Children

Matchday Global is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Betting partners & responsible gambling

Some of our links (clearly marked as Partner) lead to licensed betting operators. When you click one, their privacy policy and terms apply the moment you leave our site. 18+ only. Gambling involves risk. Please bet responsibly — BeGambleAware.org.

Changes

If we materially change this policy we will email every active newsletter subscriber at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
