
AS FAR Rabat host Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday evening and will be relying on their special record on home soil for the second leg of the CAF Champions League.
The Moroccan outfit suffered a 1-0 loss to Sundowns in the first leg at Loftus Versfeld last weekend.
The second leg will take place at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, where AS FAR boast a superb record in the Champions League.

According to CAF, AS FAR have only lost three of their 29 home encounters in the Champions League since the start of the 2005 edition.
The only teams to beat AS FAR on home soil, including CS Sfaxien and Etoile du Sahel, who did it on two occasions in 2007 and 2023.
“The most important thing is that we go to our home confident of getting the result and scoring the goals to win the title and fight until the end,” AS FAR coach Alexandre Santos said, as per CAF Online.
“We know we have our fans and our style of play, and anything is possible.
“All the players in the team realise that we have a real opportunity to face Sundowns and achieve what we want, which is to score, turn the result around and snatch the title. That is the most important thing.
“I say to our loyal fans, thank you for your continued support in all circumstances. You are our true source of strength, and we promise that we will fight with spirit and responsibility to make you happy and honour the Royal Army jersey.”
