Asamoah Gyan represents possibility and hope for every young boy, girl chasing a football dream — Kurt Okraku

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has admonished every young boy and girl chasing a football dream to take inspiration from Asamoah Gyan.

Gyan, a former Black Stars captain and the all-town top scorer of the national team was officially unveiled as ambassador for national teams and colts football by the GFA on Wednesday.

Speaking at the colorful ceremony, GFA President Kurt Okraku heaped praise on Asamoah Gyan, stressing that he represents possibility and hope for every young footballer.

To every young boy and girl chasing a football dream in communities across Ghana, Asamoah Gyan represents possibility. He represents perseverance. He represents hope.

He reminds us that greatness is attainable through hard work, discipline, sacrifice, and self-belief, the GFA capo said.

Kurt Okraku added, Every great football nation invests in its roots. Every football legend once started as a child with a dream. And who better to inspire our young talents than someone who rose from humble beginnings from the famous Accra Academy to become a global football icon.

In his role as Ambassador to national teams and colts football, Asamoah Gyan will play an instrumental role in spearheading promotional campaigns, fan engagements, and corporate partnerships aimed at uniting Ghanaians behind the Black Stars while promoting colts football.
