Black Stars Striker Semenyo To Battle Haaland, Rice, Fernandez For EPL Player Of The Season

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo is among the eight players nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award for 2025/26.

Semenyo and the seven other nominees were unveiled on the Premier League website on Thursday.

Three stars of Arsenal’s title-challenging side – Gabriel, David Raya and Declan Rice, Semenyo’s Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland, Brentford striker Igor Thiago, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, and Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White are the eight players shortlisted for the award.

Fans have until 12:00 BST on Monday 18 May to vote for their favourite and the votes of the public will be combined with those of a panel of football experts to decide the winner, who will be announced next week.

Commenting on the Black Stars forward the Premier League wrote:”Semenyo played a starring role for two clubs this season, joining Man City in the January transfer window after a stunning start to 2025/26 at AFC Bournemouth.
