
Cheetahs bow out of SA Cup as Pumas come up trumps in semi-final clash
The Pumas booked their place in the SA Cup final after a thrilling 42-36 win over the Cheetahs in Nelspruit, with Clinton Swart proving decisive from the tee.
The Pumas have secured their place in the final of the SA Cup after beating the Cheetahs 42-36 on Friday evening.
The match was a try-fest, with both sides scoring five tries during the encounter, but the ever-reliable boot of Clinton Swart got the home side over the line.

Clayton Blommetjies opened the scoring for the Cheetahs, with Tiaan Swanepoel adding a conversion and a penalty for a 10-0 lead.
The Pumas, however, scored through Sampie Swiegers (2), Willie Engelbrecht, Gustav du Rand, and Junior Banda, while the Cheetahs added further tries from Cohen Jasper, Michael Annies, Neels Volschenk, and Sisonke Vumazonke.
The Pumas now await the winner of Griquas v Boland Kavaliers to see who they will play in the final.
