With a statement on their official website, West Bromwich Albion have announced their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025–2026 season, with decisions affecting six players of Nigerian descent.
The Baggies confirmed that cap-tied United States international of Nigerian heritage Daryl Dike will depart the club upon the expiry of his contract on June 30, 2026.
Daryl Dike is the younger brother of former Super Eagles striker Bright Dike, who is best remembered in these parts for scoring in a friendly against Italy in November 2013.
He is also the sibling of ex-Super Falcons centre-forward Courtney Dike, who remains in the history books for netting the fastest goal in Fifa U20 Women's World Cup history.
After four-and-a-half seasons at The Hawthorns, the 25-year-old departs having scored 11 goals in 68 appearances across all competitions.
Also released alongside Dike are forwards Dan Chimeziri and Adam Okorodudu.
Elsewhere, West Brom have tabled new offers to one-cap Nigeria international Josh Maja and goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo, the younger brother of Super Eagles hopeful Arthur Okonkwo.
Academy product Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba has returned to his parent club, Aston Villa.
