A series of initiatives are organised around tonight’s Coppa Italia Final between Lazio and Inter, including sculptures, the national anthem, legendary players, fireworks, and a new award.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 20.00 UK time (21.00 CEST).

The winner of the 79th edition of the Coppa Italia will be decided after 90 minutes, or go through extra time and potentially even a penalty shoot-out.

Tonight’s Coppa Italia Final will be available to watch live on Premier Sports 1 and online through premiersports.com in the UK. Supporters in the USA are able to tune in via Paramount+.

As the tournament is sponsored by Frecciarossa, the trophy travelled from Milan to Rome via the Frecciarossa train.

It was accompanied by many of the Serie A brand ambassadors who will also be present in the stadium, including Roberto Baggio, Demetrio Albertini, Alen Boksic, Leonardo Bonucci, Vincent Candela, Fabio Capello, Alessandro Del Piero, Ciro Ferrara, Marco Materazzi, Christian Panucci, Francesco Totti, Christian Vieri and Gianluca Zambrotta.

Fans who enter via the Tribuna Monte Mario will be greeted by a new work of art called ‘Together’ and made for the occasion by Lorenzo Quinn.

Before kick-off, players who participated in the Philadelphia Junior Cup will be on the pitch with a banner noting ‘Football is Friendship.’

The Italian national anthem will be sung by Nek with the two teams lined up on the pitch, while two crystal sculptures of the Lazio and Inter jerseys will sit either side of the trophy.

At the end of the game, for the first time, there will be a Frecciarossa Player of the Match award handed out, followed by the trophy ceremony and fireworks.
