Danny Rohl is now under heavy pressure at Rangers after their 3-1 defeat to Celtic on Sunday.

The club is now guaranteed to finish third and missed out on Champions League football after three consecutive defeats.

It has simply been an awful run of games for the Gers as they went from title favourites to effectively ending their campaign in just three matches.

As a result, calls for Rohl to be sacked have grown louder, with many believing that he is incapable of leading the club to success.

Now, based on his winter window transfer, Rohl cannot be trusted to oversee a successful Rangers summer transfer window.

Get the inside track on the Ibrox dugout with real-time updates on shortlist candidates and key boardroom decisions.

Compared to Celtic and Martin O’Neill, Rohl was heavily back by Rangers in the winter window.

The club brought in four major signings who were meant to transform the club into title winners.

However, only Tuur Rommens can be truly classed as a success so far.

Both Tochi Chukwuani and Andreas Skov Olsen have heavily struggled so far, with the former being awful against Celtic, while the latter did not even get a minute from the bench in the defeat.

While Ryan Naderi has been unfortunate with injuries, when he has been fit, he has not set the world alight and has only netted once in nine Scottish Premiership matches to date.

Considering how poor these players have been, Rohl cannot be trusted to oversee a major rebuild of the squad in the summer.

As a result, Rangers would be wise to move him on in what could be a critical few months for the long-term success of the club.

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Rohl is set to target young players for Rangers in the summer transfer window.

These plans have already been set in motion, with this strategy also being used in the winter window.

As a result, interest in the likes of Hearts’ Lawerance Shankland is unlikely to come to anything due to this new policy.

However, it remains to be seen if this will remain in place if Rohl is moved on over the coming weeks after a disastrous end to the season.
