
Ex-Rabat Star: ‘Sundowns Are Not An Easy Team’
Moroccan icon Mohamed Timoumi has warned AS FAR Rabat about the "pedigree" of Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of their historic CAFCL final clash.
Former AS FAR Rabat star Mohamed Timoumi has said his former team will need to dig deep to overcome the might of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sundowns and FAR Rabat will meet in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League final, with both sides focused on adding a second title to their list of honours.
According to Twasl News Network, the former African Footballer of the Year sent a message to his former team ahead of the final.
"The Royal Army is facing a historic moment and a huge responsibility as big as the nation," Timoumi said.
"Winning a continental title is no easy feat, but you have proven that you are on the right track after defeating clubs with a long history and weight in the African continent," he added.
The Moroccan praised Rabat's qualities in possession and was proud to see their team spirit throughout the competition.
He advised the team on what is needed to overcome Sundowns, who boast a significant pedigree on the continent.
"I hope that this title will be yours, even against an opponent like Sundowns, who are not an easy team," he said.
"But with good management, self-confidence, high concentration, and patience on the field, you can achieve what you want. You have a special strength in collective performance that surpasses individual skills," he added.
The 65-year-old sent a message to the squad and said they have the capabilities to overcome Masandawana.
"Behind you is a huge fan base eagerly awaiting the club's second continental title. You have no other option but to win the cup, and you possess all the qualities that qualify you to overcome the obstacle of Sundowns and add the second star to the leader's trophy cabinet," he concluded.

The first leg will take place on Sunday, 17 May, at 4 pm in Pretoria, with the return leg in Morocco to take place on Sunday, 24 May, at 8 pm.
