Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is expected to leave Anfield for Juventus in the summer transfer window.

That is according to what former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness has been told by his sources, as he exclusively speaks to Football Insider.

Alisson has been number one at Anfield since he arrived from Roma in 2018, helping the club win two Premier League titles and a Champions League trophy.

The 33-year-old, though, has missed 11 Premier League games this season due to injury, meaning his future at Liverpool is becoming increasingly uncertain heading towards the transfer window.

There is expected to be a rebuild of the Liverpool squad this summer, with Arne Slot facing pressure from supporters following an underwhelming season on the pitch.

Breaking news on deals in progress, latest signings, departures, and contract news from the Anfield boardroom.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Alisson would like to return to Serie A.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks that Liverpool would need to sell the Brazilian this summer to get any value from any deal.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Yes, I think that that is one that’s going to happen.

“Alisson does fancy that, and it would make sense as well. Liverpool have got the backup there that they’re happy with and Alisson will go.

“This is the last window they’ve got to try and get some value for him. There is value at that age for a good goalkeeper like that.

“From what I’ve heard from the agents that I know, it does seem that it’s in pretty advanced discussions right now, so I would expect him to be going.”

Despite spending around £200million on both Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike last summer, Liverpool are in the market for a new striker.

Sources have told Football Insider that Isak and Ekitike’s injury issues have forced Liverpool to explore options available in the market.

Whilst Isak returned to the squad last time out against Chelsea, Ekitike has undergone surgery on an Achilles injury which could keep him out until January 2027.

In their absence, Cody Gakpo started up-front against Chelsea, but Slot needs a natural number nine to lead his attack next season if the Reds are to have a more successful campaign.
