FAR Rabat and Sundowns will compete to claim Africa's most prestigious club competition, with both sides aiming to add a second star to their shirt.
The first leg will take place in Pretoria on Sunday, 17 May, with the second leg taking place a week later in Morocco.
Ahead of the first leg, Rabat have been handed a blow with the news that defender Fallou Mendy will be ruled out of the first leg due to a thigh injury, Le Matin Sports reported.
The publication reported that medical tests, including an MRI scan, confirmed that Mendy suffered a thigh tear and has been missing from training as the medical staff works to get him ready for the second leg.
The Royal Club coach, Alexandre Santos, allowed his players a day of rest following their 3-2 win over Hassania Agadir in the Botola Pro 1, and training began on Tuesday.
Rabat is set to leave Morocco for Johannesburg on Thursday morning, with the club opting for a private charter to avoid commercial travel.
Once in South Africa, the club is expected to host two training sessions, on Friday and Saturday at 3pm, the same time as Sunday's kickoff, to acclimatise to the playing conditions on matchday.
