Reports out of Morocco have revealed AS FAR's preparation plan for their CAF Champions League encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns, as the side seeks continental glory.

The Royal Army recorded a thrilling 3-2 victory over Hassania Union Sport Agadir on Sunday to move into second place on the league table, and now trails leaders MAS Fes by just one point.

Their next encounter will be against Downs in the first leg of the CAFCL semi-final on Sunday.

According to Moroccan outlet Febrayer, the Rabat-based outfit have begun a carefully prepared regimen, aimed at helping the side reach the "highest levels of readiness" before facing the Brazilians.

The side are said to have travelled back to Rabat from Agadir right after their last league match, where they will rest until training resumes on Tuesday.

The publication further revealed, through a source at the club, that Wednesday's session will focus on physical training and tactical preparation, before having a light session on Thursday.

That session will reportedly see the Moroccan giants focus on the final touches and the players' readiness before leaving for South Africa that very evening.

Then on Friday, it is understood that the team will have another training session aimed at helping the players recover from fatigue and acclimatise to the foreign conditions, with the final session taking place on Saturday in preparation for the much-anticipated first leg.

Meanwhile, AS FAR will likely be without defender Fallou Mendy, who recently suffered a muscle tear.

Reports indicate that this will be a challenge for head coach Alexandre Santos who will need to field a suitable replacement in his absence, given the crucial role the centre-back plays in the side.
