Griquas started well in Kimberley, opening a 14-0 lead thanks to tries from Cameron Hufke and Bulls-bound Dylan Maart, with sharpshooter George Whitehead adding the extras.
But a Boland blitz saw the visitors go 28-14 up, and Griquas had to fight back before half-time to level things up at 28-all.
The second half was all Griquas, however, as Marco de Witt, Sako Makata, and Lourens Oosthuizen all scored. Whitehead’s accurate boot ensured the home side’s lead stretched beyond Boland’s reach.
