Manchester City star Rodri has disclosed that he is calm regarding his contract situation at the club, with his current deal set to run until June 2027.

Despite outside interest, the midfielder is prioritizing the end of the season before focusing on long-term plans.

Reports suggest City is preparing a new deal valid until June 2029 or 2030, which could make him the club’s second-highest earner behind Erling Haaland.

However, Rodri stated that he is unfazed by the ongoing negotiations and is focused on the Premier League title race.

“I’m calm,” he said. “To be honest, I don’t think much about my future right now because there is another priority.

“I only think about my club ending the season with the most titles possible – we have the chance to lift the Premier League – and then the World Cup.”
