Kelechi Iheanacho will aim to win his second trophy in a week when Celtic take on Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park on Saturday, reports Completesports.com.

Celtic clinched the Scottish Premiership crown last week after defeating Hearts 3-1 in an entertaining clash at Paradise.

Iheanacho played a crucial role in Martin O’Neill’s side run to the final of the Scottish Cup.

The Nigeria international came off the bench to score two goals in the 6-2 semi-final victory over St. Mirren.

Iheanacho could be awarded with a start against Dunfermline having impressed in recent outings for Celtic.

Despite enduring an injury-hit campaign disrupted by recurring hamstring problems, Iheanacho has still managed eight goals in 23 appearances across all competitions this season.

The 29-year-old’s goals have carried enormous value for the club.

Iheanacho’s Celtic Wins Scottish Premiership Title

The former Manchester City and Leicester City forward has directly earned Celtic eight points through match-winning contributions against Kilmarnock on debut, Dundee, Hibernian and Motherwell.

Those performances have also seen him become the highest-scoring Nigerian player in Celtic’s history, further strengthening his growing connection with the club’s supporters.

Iheanacho joined Celtic as a free agent last summer, penning a one-year contract with the option of an additional year.

Celtic are overwhelming favourites to lift the Scottish Cup considering their recent form.

The Bhoys have won their last their eight games, while lower-league Dunfermline Athletic’s form tailed off in the final weeks of the season.

Dunfermline Athletic have won just one of their last five matches, including a disappointing 2-1 loss to Partick Thistle in the second leg of their play-off semi-final.

The Pars can however draw confidence from their impressive Scottish FA Cup campaign, beating Queen of The South, Hibernian, Kelty Hearts, Aberdeen and Falkirk to reach the final.

Celtic defeated underdogs Aberdeen 4-3 on penalities in the final of last season’s competition.
