Ivan Provedel is expected to leave Lazio this summer, with Inter, Bologna and Fiorentina all among the clubs to have registered interest in the goalkeeper, according to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, Pedullà explained that Provedel, whose contract runs until June 2027, faces a situation where Lazio must find a solution this summer rather than risk losing him for free next year.
“Provedel will probably leave,” Pedullà said. “He is evaluating two or three proposals. On the professional, the man and his performances, there is little to say.”
The key factor in Provedel’s decision is his desire to remain a first-choice goalkeeper rather than accept a backup role.
Inter made an enquiry but are increasingly inclined to promote Josep Martinez as their number one following Yann Sommer’s expected departure, meaning the Lazio star would effectively be second choice at the Nerazzurri, a prospect that does not appeal to the Italian international.
Bologna lead the race, with technical director Giovanni Sartori a long-standing admirer of the goalkeeper.
The Rossoblu have also sounded out Lecce’s Falcone but are waiting on Provedel’s decision before moving further.
Fiorentina have also made an approach, with the Viola looking to cover themselves in the event that David De Gea departs the club this summer.
Pedullà noted that the Lazio number one holds Maurizio Sarri in the highest regard, adding that the goalkeeper “would follow Sarri all his life,” though with Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi unavailable, Provedel will assess his options on merit.
