Jarrod Bowen must be wondering what more he could have done for West Ham United this season after he being unfairly ignored for England’s World Cup squad.
Despite a truly torrid season for the Hammers, which will likely see them relegated, the winger has managed to net eight goals and provide 10 assists in the Premier League.
The England international has constantly come up with big moments for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, and they undoubtedly would have been relegated weeks ago without him.
The Irons can still stay up on the final day if Everton manage to beat Tottenham in North London, but the situation appears to have changed either way for Bowen.
West Ham transfer chiefs may well be forced to brace for the 29-year-old’s departure even if they manage to complete the miracle escape.

Breaking news on signings, departures, and contract news from the West Ham United boardroom.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday that Everton have explored a move for Bowen ahead of the summer transfer window, as they look to bolster their attack.
But the Toffees will be among several clubs interested in a move for the forward, including the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.
Bowen joined West Ham in January of 2020, and it did not take him long to find his feet in the Premier League. His first full season saw him break into double digits, and he has never stopped.
In fact, the England international has now confirmed a fifth consecutive season of hitting over 20 direct goal contributions in all competitions.
But his national team have never paid much attention. The 29-year-old has just 22 caps and has only ever started seven games for England.
The latest snub will hurt Bowen badly, especially given the inclusion of Noni Madueke, and it may well be enough to convince him to force through a summer move.

At some point, it must be accepted that if Bowen was playing for Arsenal, and Madueke for West Ham, the decision to take the former would have been made in a heartbeat.
The 2026 World Cup may well have been Bowen’s last chance to play one. By the time the next one rolls round, the winger will be 33.
But he can still feature in the 2028 European Championships, and he may well eye a move away to improve his chances of getting that place.

For now, however, the 29-year-old will be incredibly frustrated that he has been snubbed for Madueke. The forward made just 25 Premier League appearances for the champions, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
In almost every attacking metric, Bowen has outperformed the 24-year-old. 1.33 shots per 90 minutes to Madueke’s 1.11, 0.22 goals to his 0.15 and 0.27 assists to his 0.08.
Bukayo Saka will undoubtedly be England’s starting right-winger, but the decision to pick his back-up at Arsenal over Bowen will be a decision that is scrutinised heavily.
