Joel Piroe will almost certainly leave Leeds United this summer as a new striker is targeted at Elland Road.
The Suriname international has made just 20 appearances across all competitions this season, totalling only 560 minutes on the pitch.
It has been a dramatic fall from grace for the 26-year-old, who scored 19 goals for Leeds in the Championship last season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has taken the majority of Piroe’s minutes after arriving on a free transfer last summer, and decision-makers are now looking to provide the England international with more competition.
Leeds transfer chiefs will be keen to address the 26-year-old’s future as quickly as possible this summer, as they explore deals like the one that could see Ermedin Demirovic arrive.

Breaking news on latest signings, departures, and contract news from the Elland Road boardroom.
Football Insider exclusively revealed last week that Leeds have identified Zian Flemming as a target this summer, as they look to replace Piroe.
The Whites are assessing all options going forward, with the Burnley striker representing a similar option to Demirovic.
The Bosnian forward has enjoyed another superb season for Stuttgart, and could still end it with glory in the DFB Pokal, if his side can beat Bayern Munich in Saturday’s final.
The 28-year-old has scored 15 goals across all competitions, including 12 in just 25 Bundesliga appearances.
It is the third consecutive season that Demirovic has hit double digits in the German top flight, with the previous two having seen him net 15.
But he could now be finally ready for a new opportunity, with his contract set to have two years remaining this summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport via Sports Witness, Leeds are strongly interested in the Bosnia and Herzegovina international and are unlikely to face competition from Lazio.

Stuttgart will be willing to part with Demirovic in a deal worth around £26million this summer.
Leeds had reportedly shown great interest in Demirovic last summer, but a move did not materialise after Calvert-Lewin’s arrival.
Lukas Nmecha had also signed on a free transfer earlier in the summer, with Daniel Farke keen to see the investment go elsewhere in the squad.

But that interest now looks set to be reignited this summer, with Farke’s eyes on further up the Premier League table.
Rotate them or indeed play them together, in Demirovic and Calvert-Lewin, Leeds would have a pair of very dangerous forwards.
