During his stint with Nam Dinh, the former Mamelodi Sundowns star made 22 appearances across all competitions, registering one goal and four assists.
Nam Dinh confirmed the departure of the former Al Ahly forward on Thursday morning.
"Thank you for your contributions, Percy Tau. Wishing you success and good luck on your journey ahead," the club said in a brief statement.
Tau's exit comes shortly after the club confirmed the departure of former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom.
Nam Dinh parted ways with Blom on Wednesday, bringing a disappointing end to his spell in Vietnam, where he failed to make a single competitive appearance.
The 25-year-old joined Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC after spending last season on loan at Amakhosi from MLS side St. Louis City SC.
