'Phenomenal' - Sevilla coach lauds Akor Adams after another match-winning strike

Sevilla head coach Luis García has lavished praise on Nigerian forward Akor Adams after his match-winning display in Wednesday night's 3-2 triumph over Villarreal CF.

The Nigerian striker once again proved to be Sevilla's hero, firing home a powerful left-footed strike after receiving a clever layoff from Djibril Sow inside the penalty area during the second half.

The goal sealed another crucial win for the Andalusian side and further highlighted Adams' growing importance to the team this season.

The strike marked Adams' fourth match-winning goal of the campaign, having previously delivered decisive goals against Rayo Vallecano, Athletic Bilbao, and RCD Espanyol.

Speaking after the encounter, the Sevilla manager was full of admiration for the forward's contribution and work ethic.

"Akor, now Akor again, is phenomenal," Garcia said via Futbol Fantasy. "Maupay had a brutal job. Well, I hope I understand myself and, damn, what a tough guy and all. Maybe it's not done yet. Until it's done, I'm not going to relax for a second. Not a second."
