Christian Pulisic has resumed training with the full Milan squad and is therefore available to face Genoa, but changes are forced by Rafael Leao, Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupinan bans.
The Rossoneri have scraped only seven points from the last eight Serie A rounds, seeing them slide from second place down to joint fourth with Roma.
They were beaten 3-2 at home by Atalanta on Sunday and are still not sure when this weekend’s trip to Genoa will be played, due to the scheduling chaos in Serie A.
Meanwhile, Pulisic has returned to full training after missing the last match due to a muscular problem.
It means he is available and could even start upfront for Milan, hoping to score his first goal of 2026.
His presence is all the more important considering that Leao, Saelemaekers and Estupinan are suspended following yellow cards against Atalanta.
The most likely option is to have Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku start upfront, after the failed experiment with Santiago Gimenez getting his first start since ankle surgery in November.
Fikayo Tomori returns from his one-match ban to bolster the defence and there are reports Davide Bartesaghi has also shaken off a knock that he received against Atalanta.
