Bradley Barcola is attracting interest from Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window after struggling for regular starts at PSG in recent months.

Barcola has been restricted to appearing off the bench in PSG’s last three Champions League ties as they prepare to defend their crown against Arsenal later this month.

The French international is one of the highest-rated wingers in world football, yet is concerned about his lack of minutes in top games and could seek a move away this summer.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Liverpool are keen on signing Barcola in the coming months if he pushes to leave the Parc des Princes.

Liverpool’s transfer plans are set to accelerate in the coming weeks as they look set to clinch Champions League qualification before the season ends.

Barcola has registered 12 goals and six assists in 46 games across all competitions this season, but last scored nearly two months ago in a Champions League win at Chelsea.

Liverpool are after a new winger to bolster Arne Slot’s ranks, with Mo Salah set to move on and Cody Gakpo currently filling in up front after Hugo Ekitike’s injury.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “He’s not starting every major game for PSG, but he is contributing.

“He’s normally coming off the bench in all these big Champions League games, which could give Liverpool a potential opening that he could be prised away with regular first-team football.

“But, I think Paris Saint-Germain are determined to keep hold of Barcola.”

Slot is planning some key additions to his squad this summer after a disappointing campaign for all concerned at Anfield.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Liverpool are keen on Van de Ven as they seek to sign a long-term replacement for his compatriot, Virgil van Dijk.

The Tottenham star is set to leave if they are relegated from the Premier League, while he may also force a move away even if they survive.

Contract talks between him and Spurs have been put to one side amid their fight to stay up, and he is now near the top of the Reds’ shortlist for left-sided centre-backs.
