Rangers have offered Danny Rohl assurances over his long-term future at the club despite a miserable run of form, sources have told Football Insider.
The Ibrox club have lost all four of their Scottish Premiership clashes since the league split and quickly dropped out of contention in the title race.
Rohl’s side will now have to watch Hearts and Celtic battle it out for the title, with fans calling for the manager’s head as a result of their late collapse.
However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Rangers are not planning to part ways with Rohl as things stand.
Instead, the board have been impressed by the work he has done since his appointment in October, as Rangers plan to back their manager in the summer transfer window.

Football Insider revealed on 15 May that Rangers feel their recent form is “unacceptable” as pressure continues to mount over Rohl’s position at Ibrox.
A 2-1 defeat against Hibernian at Ibrox last time out added to the pressure, following defeats against Celtic, Hearts and Motherwell since the top six split.
Rangers remain keen to stick by their manager despite the growing frustrations, however, as they hope to instil a long-term project for success in the future.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Rohl has received assurances from the board about his future, and he’s steadfast that he is planning to be and is planning to make big changes there at the club next season.
“You’ve got to remember when Danny Rohl came in and where Rangers were when he took over. He will be as unhappy as anybody about the way things have worked out in the last three to four weeks with those four defeats as well.
“It’s going to be another big summer at Rangers. I expect a lot of activity in the transfer window, and there’ll be a lot of players coming and going there at Ibrox. But as I said, Danny Rohl still has the backing of the Rangers board.”
The manager has become an even more decisive figure at Ibrox following a behind-the-scenes bust-up with James Tavernier. More layers continue to be added to the situation ahead of the summer.
Former Man United coach Mick Brown told Football Insider on 12 May that Rohl could walk away from Rangers regardless of whether the club plan to stick with him.

While it is considered an unlikely situation, there are clubs prepared to offer the German manager the opportunity to leave Ibrox in search of a new challenge.
He recently spoke out to dismiss any suggestions he could walk away to join another club, but after recent results, there is a growing feeling he could now be tempted.
A number of German clubs, including the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg, have reportedly shown an interest in Rohl and could aim to lure him in.
