Super Falcons duo react after winning historic Super Lig title with Fenerbahce

Regina Otu and Flourish Sabastine have expressed their excitement after helping the Istanbul club secure a historic first-ever Turkish Women's Super Lig title.

The Super Falcons duo played key roles throughout the campaign as Fenerbahce ended the season at the top of the table, marking a major milestone in the club's history and sparking celebrations among players and supporters alike.

The Yellow Canaries produced a ruthless performance away to Giresun Sanayispor, cruising to a 7-0 win at Çotanak Arena in Week 28 of the Super Lig.

Peritan Bozdağ scored twice, while Maria Alves, Andrea Staskova, Sabastine, İpek Kaya, and Zeynep Kerimoğlu also got on the scoresheet.

The victory moved them to 77 points, and following dropped points by Galatasaray against Trabzonspor, Fenerbahce extended their advantage to seven points, enough to secure the title with two matches still left.

Speaking to Fenerbahçe Television after the title-clinching game, Otu said: "I had to do my job. I did my job and I got the result. I love Fenerbahçe very much. Here we are, champions. It’s an incredible feeling."

Sabastine also shared her excitement, adding: "I am very happy and proud. We waited a long time for this moment."

Sabastine joined Fenerbahce last summer from Istanbul rivals Galatasaray, while Otu has been on the books of the club since 2024.
