Tunisia coach Sabri Lamouchi names final 26-man squad for 2026 World Cup

Tunisia head coach Sabri Lamouchi has named his final 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026 tournament, to be co-hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.The expanded 48-team tournament sees Tunisia secure one of Africas nine automatic qualification slots.The Carthage Eagles have been drawn in a tough Group F alongside Sweden, Japan, and the 2010 finalists Netherlands.

They begin their campaign against Sweden on June 15 before facing Japan and the Netherlands.Lamouchis squad combines experience and youth, with key players including Ellyes Skhiri, Hannibal Mejbri, Elyes Saad, Firas Chaouat, and Ali Abdi making the cut.Tunisia have made six World Cup appearances (1978, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2018, and 2022), remaining one of Africas most consistent teams but still chasing a first knockout-stage qualification.
