2026 World Cup: Germany Have Many Options In Attack –Havertz

Germany forward Kai Havertz has described the team’s wealth of attacking talent as a good problem to have.

Speaking from the national team’s training base, the Arsenal forward praised the squad’s depth ahead of the upcoming tournament in North America.

Recall that coach Julian Nagelsmann has an abundance of options across the strike force and attacking midfield, including Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, and in-form forward Deniz Undav.

However, Havertz stated that rather than competing for individual starting spots, the players are focused on collective success and versatility.

“We have ⁠many options (in attack),” Havertz, ‌who scored in Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on penalties last week, said. “It is a very good problem to have. It is much better ​to have more good players than fewer in the team.”

“There is variety. We need all the players and many capable of playing in different positions,” Havertz said when asked whether he feared internal competition from in-form Undav, who scored twice and set up another goal against the Finns.

“His stats speak for themselves. In the national team he is an extremely important part. We, as players, know that. No one fears anyone. We have to function ‌as a team together and everyone will be needed.”

Kai Havertz has firmly established himself as a vital, versatile linchpin under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal, transitioning from an early-career midfielder into a highly effective center-forward and pressing catalyst.
