Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has urged his players to maintain discipline and unity as the Black Stars prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, stressing that collective responsibility will take precedence over individual ambition.

The 73-year-old, appointed last month as Otto Addos successor on a short-term contract, will lead Ghana into the tournament in North America this summer.

In an interview on the Beyond The Whistle podcast, the experienced Portuguese tacticianwho has previously managed Egypt, Iran and Colombiadelivered a firm message on team spirit and commitment.

Ghana, four-time African champions, will be making their fifth appearance at the World Cup, with Group L fixtures against Panama, England and Croatia.

The Black Stars begin their campaign against Panama on June 17, before facing England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.

Ahead of the tournament, Queirozs side will test themselves in friendly matches against Mexico later this month and Wales on June 2, as preparations intensify.

Queiroz is expected to name his final squad for the competition on June 1.
