Paul Onuachu has reflected on his outstanding 2025–2026 campaign with Trabzonspor, insisting that every goal he scored played a crucial role in the club’s successful season.

The Nigerian striker finished the campaign with an impressive 26 goals, helping Trabzonspor secure silverware after an intense and demanding season.

When asked to identify his most valuable goal of the season, Onuachu admitted it was difficult to single out one moment, stressing that each contribution proved important in the club's final league position and cup triumph.

Speaking after his match-winning brace in the Turkish Cup final, Onuachu told reporters: "Right now, I am so tired that I cannot really think of it.

"All the goals I scored gave Trabzonspor a lot of points. All the goals were important for the position we ended up in. With the help of my teammates, everybody contributed. Long season. I am very happy to end it with a cup.

"We fought so hard, and we deserved to win the cup after the incredible season we had. Together with my teammates and the fans, who have been with us throughout, I am very happy to have won the cup."

Onuachu recalled the heartbreak of coming close to winning the Turkish Cup during his previous spell at the club and explained why the squad was determined not to fall short again.

"Last time I was here on loan, we were close to winning the cup, but we lost it. Last year again, we lost the cup.

"This year, we could not lose the cup two or three times in a row, so the boys knew what was at stake. The boys gave everything, knowing that this is very important for Trabzonspor, the fans, and the city."

Onuachu will now take a well-earned short break before linking up with the Nigeria squad in Europe for upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
