Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi on Friday called up Angers midfielder Amine Sebai to join the national team’s preliminary training camp ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation said.
The training camp, which runs through May 26 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, forms part of Morocco’s preparations for the tournament set to take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The federation said Ouahbi had initially summoned 28 players to the preparatory camp before announcing the final squad on May 26.
Sebai, who plays for French side Angers, joins Morocco’s setup as the federation continues to integrate overseas based talent into national team structures ahead of major international competitions.
Morocco has increasingly relied on dual nationality and Europe based players across several age categories in recent years, a strategy that has helped strengthen its international squads following the country’s historic World Cup semifinal run in Qatar in 2022.
