Nigeria international Joe Aribo has departed Sky Bet Championship side Southampton following the expiration of his contract.
Aribo spent four years at St Mary’s Stadium after joining the Saints from Scottish Premiership club Rangers in 2022.
The 29-year-old midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Leicester City, where he made six appearances, and started just one match.
During his time at Southampton, Aribo scored nine goals in 95 league appearances.
Southampton confirmed Aribo’s departure on their official website.

“We can confirm the Men’s First Team players departing upon the expiry of their contracts,” reads the statement.
“A fourth 2024 promotion winner to leave, Joe Aribo’s four-year stay at the club will also come to an end.
“Amassing 111 appearances in total, the Nigeria international appeared 40 times in 2023/24, scoring on four occasions to lift the club back to the top flight.
“The club would like to place on record its gratitude for the effort and commitment shown by Oriol, Will, Ross, Alex, Joe, Jamie, Charlie and Elias during their time as Saints, and wish them all the best for what comes next in their careers.”
Aribo will now seek a fresh start elsewhere after enduring a challenging four-year spell with Southampton on the South Coast.
