The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has unveiled the national team’s preparation schedule ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to take place next summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In an official statement, the federation said the Moroccan national team, known as the Atlas Lions, will play three friendly matches in the coming weeks as part of its final preparation round for the tournament.

Morocco will first face Burundi on May 26 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, in a match that will be played behind closed doors.

The team will then take on Madagascar on June 2 at 6 p.m. local time at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Preparations will conclude with a fixture against Norway on June 7 at 3 p.m. local time at Red Bull Arena in New York City.

The federation said the program, coordinated with the national team’s coaching staff, is designed to ensure optimal preparation during the crucial pre-tournament phase, with a focus on testing players’ readiness against teams with playing styles similar to those expected at the World Cup.

Morocco has been drawn in Group C of the tournament alongside Brazil, Scotland and Haiti.
