Bafana's World Cup final squad selection spotlight switched on!
Hugo Broos will be in the spotlight tonight as he names his final Bafana Bafana squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup just a fortnight before the tournament opener against Mexico.
For all the selections that Hugo Broos has made in deciding on his final squad, what is guaranteed is that there will be some unpopular decisions.
The Bafana Bafana coach will name his travelling squad on Wednesday evening in Tshwane, next to State President Cyril Ramaphosa and SAFA boss Dr. Danny Jordaan.

Broos will travel with up to 26 players, which means six must be dropped from the preliminary squad currently in camp.
Bafana play Nicaragua on Friday (18:00) at Orlando Amstel Arena in what will be the last preparation match before they move to their base in Mexico.
Anticipation is building up about what decision the Belgian has taken in the goalkeeping department.
According to FIFA, each qualified nation is allowed 23-26 players and at least three of the players in the final list must be goalkeepers.
Bafana have four keepers in Ronwen Williams, Sipho Chaine, Brandon Petersen, and Ricardo Goss in camp.
Williams is guaranteed his place as the team captain and regular.
Then, if Broos travels with three, then one of Chaine, Petersen, and Goss will have to be dropped.
Chaine has had a career-best season at Orlando Pirates, with 21 clean sheets in the league but must stand in the queue in the national team.
There have been reports that he could be sacrificed based on what happened at the AFCON finals in Morocco.
Goss has been a regular back-up for the past three years and so is favoured to retain his place.
Then, with Petersen, he is the biggest hopeful from Kaizer Chiefs after a fine season.
With defenders, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Khuliso Mudau, Aubrey Modiba, Khulumani Ndamane, Ime Okon, Samukele Kabini, and Thabang Matuludi will travel.
Olwethu Makhanya, Bradley Cross, and Thabiso Monyane might be unfortunate.
In midfield, Teboho Mokoena, Jayden Adams, Sphephelo Sithole, and Thalente Mbatha will be in.
This leaves Lebohang Maboe and Brooklyn Poggenpoel at risk.

Then, in attack, Lyle Foster, Relebohile Mofokeng, Oswin Appollis, Tshepang Moremi, Iqraam Rayners, and Evidence Makgopa are certainly in.
There will also be Themba Zwane, Patrick Maswanganyi, Kamogelo Sebelebele, Thapelo Morena, and Thapelo Maseko to consider, with at least one of them being dropped.
