Bongani Zungu and Keagan Buchanan continue to prove that South African footballers are just as influential in fashion circles as they are on the pitch.
While their football journeys may be at different stages, both stars are making waves in the lifestyle space through high-profile fashion collaborations that continue to blur the lines between sport, style and celebrity culture in Mzansi.
For AmaZulu midfielder Zungu, the latest move adds another major brand to his growing off-field portfolio. The experienced midfielder, affectionately known as "Ben 10", has officially joined forces with Steve Madden South Africa in a stylish menswear collaboration.
Represented by Talentless PR — the agency that also works with fellow football stars Grant Kekana, Aubrey Modiba and Teboho Mokoena — Zungu continues to position himself as one of local football's leading style personalities.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder now joins a growing list of PSL figures who have collaborated with the American-founded fashion brand, including Lebohang Maboe and Vincent Pule.
Meanwhile, former Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu FC, Cape Town Spurs and Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Buchanan maintains his influence in local fashion despite stepping away from professional football.
The retired midfielder recently featured in Markham's latest Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign titled "Fathers of Fashion AW26: The Hands That Raised You".
The campaign sees Buchanan sharing the spotlight with actors Abdul Khoza and Mondli Makhoba, alongside veteran fashion blogger and influencer Sergio Ines.
