Ladan Bosso, Chairman of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, has confirmed his interest in the vacant Head Coach position of Nigeria’s U-23 men’s team, Completesports.com reports.

The 58-year-old previously managed Nigeria’s U-20 men’s team, guiding them to the quarter-finals of the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.

Former Super Eagles assistant coach Samson Siasia and ex-Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi are among the prominent names reportedly under consideration for the U-23 Olympic Eagles job, with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yet to make a final decision.

However, Bosso has now confirmed that he is also in contention for the position.

“Yes, I’m also interested in the job,” Bosso declared when Completesports.com spoke with him.

“We’re waiting for the NFF to make their decision,” the former Kano Pillars, Wikki Tourists, Bayelsa United, Abia Warriors, Barau FC and El-Kanemi Warriors coach said.

Bosso is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most experienced domestic coaches, having handled several top-flight clubs and youth national teams during his managerial career.
