Bournemouth confirm that Marcos Senesi will leave the club at the end of his contract in June, but according to reports in Italy, Juventus have little hope of signing the Argentine centre-back, who is expected to join another Premier League side.
Premier League side Bournemouth confirm that Senesi will leave the club as a free agent at the end of his contract in June.
“AFC Bournemouth can confirm that Marcos Senesi will leave the club this summer upon the expiry of his contract, bringing an end to four memorable years on the south coast,” the club said in an official statement.
“From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this club. I’m proud of everything we achieved over the last four years, and I’m grateful for the support the fans have always given me,” Senesi said.
“AFC Bournemouth will always hold a special place for me, and I will look back at my time here with fond memories. For now, there are still two big games left of the season, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
Juventus have been considering a move for the Argentine centre-back, largely due to his availability on a free transfer. The 29-year-old is also a left-footed defender, a type of player that Luciano Spalletti is keen to add to his Bianconeri squad for the 2026-27 season.
Signing Senesi, however, will be challenging for the Bianconeri, as the Bournemouth defender has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs.
Calciomercato.com mentions Chelsea as one of the clubs leading the race for Senesi, but according to the BBC, sources at Stamford Bridge have downplayed a possible move over the summer, while Juventus, Tottenham and Barcelona remain keen.
Calciomercato adds that Juventus will make a new attempt to sign Senesi in the coming weeks, but the most likely outcome is that the Argentine centre-back will remain in England.
