Bafana Bafana's World Cup adventure in Mexico has already produced a heartwarming moment, with Hugo Broos and his squad winning over local supporters through a special interaction with a young fan outside the team's hotel in Pachuca.
As excitement continues to build ahead of South Africa's return to football's biggest stage, members of the national team took time to create a memorable experience for one youngster who turned up to greet the squad following their arrival in Mexico on Tuesday.
According to reports from journalists on the ground, the young supporter was the only fan waiting outside Bafana Bafana's team hotel when the players headed out for their second training session since landing in North America. What followed quickly became a feel-good moment to remember.

Rather than simply greeting the youngster, the entire squad reportedly lined up one by one to take photographs, sign autographs and spend time with him.
The special moment was made even more memorable by head coach Hugo Broos, who gifted the fan a Bafana Bafana away jersey. The shirt was then signed by players and staff, with several members of the squad also stopping for selfies.

Videos shared online showed the delighted youngster proudly showing off his newly signed jersey before breaking into the iconic Siphiwe Tshabalala celebration that became synonymous with South Africa's unforgettable opening match at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The wholesome interaction offered an early glimpse of the support Bafana Bafana can expect during their stay in Mexico.

That enthusiasm was on full display during the team's open training session at Estadio Hidalgo, where reports suggest close to 2,000 supporters turned out to watch Broos and his players go through their preparations.
With anticipation growing ahead of Friday's pre-World Cup friendly against Jamaica, the warm reception has provided a timely boost for the South African squad as they continue their build-up to next week's highly anticipated tournament opener against hosts Mexico.
