Club captain Nkosinathi Sibisi has doubled down on Orlando Pirates' ambitions for the league title, following a goalless draw against Durban City.

Pirates were held to a frustrating draw by Durban City at the Orlando Amstel Arena last weekend, meaning a win is a must if they are to lift the league title against Orbit College FC at Mbombela Stadium this Saturday.

"We’re still within our objectives. There’s no reason to doubt or stop believing," Sibisi told the club's media.

"... we wanted to win. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for us, but we’ll go back, keep working, and focus on the final game against Orbit College."We would have loved to end the season at home with three points, but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be. We tried, and it certainly wasn’t through a lack of effort. The boys kept fighting until the very last whistle."It’s unfortunate, but we take the point and move forward."

As things stand, the Soweto giants remain second on the Betway Premiership log, two points behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who have finished their domestic season.

Meanwhile, Orbit are fighting for their lives in the relegation zone, and a point accompanied by favourable results elsewhere might see them going to the play-offs or surviving altogether.
