The Soweto-born performer, whose real name is Thulisile Madihlaba, has partnered with Debonairs Pizza as part of a soccer-themed campaign aimed at celebrating the spirit of togetherness that often accompanies major football occasions.
The song has gained traction at fan parks, watch parties and across social media, with many supporters embracing its upbeat message as Bafana continue their World Cup journey.
Chomee has already performed at fan events during the tournament and is expected to remain involved in supporter activities as South Africa prepares for the next round.
Speaking about the atmosphere surrounding the national team, Chomee said football has a unique ability to unite people from different backgrounds.
“There's something special about the way soccer brings people together. I’m so excited to be part of the campaign and bring people together,” says Chomee. “It doesn't matter where you’re from or who you support, when the game kicks off, everyone shares in the excitement. And right now, with everything on the line for Bafana, that feeling is everything."
The campaign also coincides with the launch of Debonairs Pizza's latest menu offering, inspired by the huddle often formed by football teams before matches.
Debonairs Pizza Marketing Executive Jacques Cronje said the partnership was built around the passion and sense of togetherness that football creates among South Africans.
“At Debonairs Pizza, innovation has always been at the heart of what we do,” says Jacques Cronje, Marketing Executive at Debonairs Pizza.
“As a proudly South African brand, we wanted to partner with someone who reflects the passion, energy, and sense of togetherness that define both soccer and our latest campaign. Chomee’s infectious energy and broad appeal made her an ideal choice to help bring the campaign to life. Together, we’re sharing great moments, supporting our national team, and enjoying our innovative, great-value pizza because #ItsATeamSport.”
