Oswin Appollis’ first season at Orlando Pirates will come with personal accomplishment as the Soweto giants take aim at lifting the Betway Premiership this weekend.

Yes, there has been no yellow card for the blonde-haired offensive midfielder.

His contribution averages to either a goal or an assist with every second game that he plays.

Not only has the former Polokwane City talisman featured in all games in the league, he has also been involved in all other matches across all competitions, which is no mean feat.

He has had minutes in all 43 games played by Pirates this season, with 34 of those appearances being starts.

His place in the Bafana Bafana squad heading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is secured and should have his visa and bags ready for the long-haul flight across the Atlantic Ocean.
