Durban City midfielder Thabo Nodada has hinted that contesting the league title decider against Orlando Pirates at their fortress on Saturday will be akin to walking through hell, fire, and ice.

The newly crowned Nedbank Cup champions are gearing up for their penultimate league match of the season, where they will face Pirates at the Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday.

They are seventh on the log and aim to secure a Top Eight finish. A win against the title contenders would see them climb up to sixth.

However, standing in their path is an equally, if not more motivated Buccaneers outfit, on the cusp of a domestic treble and desperate for three points that would see them clinch their first league title since 2011/12.

"We’re not going to enjoy that game, we’re not. I mean, I saw a record...," Nodada told journalists during the club's Nedbank Cup title celebrations earlier this week.

"I think they said the stadium is sold out on a Tuesday."

"Look, to be even in the position we are in, you know, why us? Why do you come from a Nedbank Cup final, and then you have a chance to decide something that’s so far out of your reach, you know?"

As though claming himself down from what seems like panic, the former Cape Town City midfielder says the match is another game of football.

"It’s 90 minutes. We will go there, we will do our best. If our best is better than their best, then good luck to them," he went on.
