La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Boca Juniors’ president Juan Roman Riquelme and director Rodolfo Arruabarrena have recently contacted Roma star Paulo Dybala, but the Argentine keeps prioritising a contract extension with the Giallorossi.
Argentine giants Boca Juniors continue to chase Roma star Dybala, who is available on a free transfer as his contract at the Stadio Olimpico expires at the end of the month.
According to Gazzetta, both Riquelme, the Boca Juniors president, and technical director Arruabarrena have called Dybala to present their project for him and emphasise La Joya’s significance in their plans.
La Gazzetta reported last week that Dybala’s former club Juventus had sounded out the striker about a possible return, yet Dybala’s priority is to reach an agreement with Roma.
Currently, however, the Giallorossi haven’t yet sent a satisfactory offer for the Argentine, proposing a €2.3m-a-year salary, while the player has demanded a €3m-a-year contract.
Roma’s offer includes bonuses tied to Dybala’s appearances in 2026-27, according to Gazzetta.
Roma owner Ryan Friedkin recently held talks with Dybala’s agent, Carlos Novel. However, the new Roma sporting director, Tony D’Amico, will now take over negotiations with the experienced forward.
