EFL stars Femi Azeez, Arthur Okonkwo and Owen Oseni are among the 14 players that have arrived at the Super Eagles camp as preparations intensify for the 2026 Unity Cup tournament in London.

The trio earned their maiden invitations to the Nigerian senior national team following impressive performances in the English Championship and League One during the recently concluded campaign.

Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo played a crucial role in Wrexham's successful campaign.

The Arsenal academy graduate registered ten clean sheets in 39 league appearances and was widely praised for his consistency between the sticks.

Azeez also impressed with Millwall, emerging as one of the club’s standout performers during the season.

The exciting forward scored 11 goals and contributed eight assists in 35 league matches to help Millwall secure a playoff place.

However, Millwall’s promotion hopes came to an end after a semifinal defeat over two legs to Semi Ajayi's Hull City.

Meanwhile, Owen Oseni enjoyed an impressive campaign with Plymouth Argyle, scoring seven goals and registering five assists in 27 league appearances.

The invited players arrived at the Super Eagles camp ahead of their first training session scheduled for Saturday evening at Cray Valley FC, Middle Park Avenue, London.

Also present in camp are Shooting Stars stars Junior Ayobami, Al Ameen Tijani, Michael Atata, Adeoye Aderemi, Oputa Chibueze, Ighoke Obinna, Ocholi Elias, and Oyedokun Tosin, alongside Philip Otele, Nnadi Tochukwu, and Terem Moffi.

Nigeria will compete alongside Zimbabwe, India, and Jamaica in the invitational tournament as the Super Eagles aim to successfully defend the title they won last year at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Super Eagles will begin their campaign against Zimbabwe on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at The Valley in Charlton in the opening semifinal fixture.

Nigeria will hope to secure victory and book a place in the final, where they would face the winner of the second semifinal between India and Jamaica.
