Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and winger Femi Azeez are among the early arrivals as the Super Eagles opened camp in London ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup, Completesports.com reports.

Okonkwo, who recently switched his international allegiance from England to Nigeria, and Azeez are among several new faces named in head coach Éric Chelle’s squad for the invitational tournament.

Plymouth Argyle striker Owen Oseni, who also received his maiden call-up from Chelle, has also joined the camp.

Terem Moffi, Tochukwu Nnadi, Philip Otele are the other foreign-based professionals in camp.

Head coach Chelle travelled to London on Friday with eight home-based players and members of his backroom staff.

Junior Ayobami, Al-Ameen Tijani, Michael Atata, Adeoye Aderemi, Oputa Chibueze, Ighoke Obinna, Ocholi Elias, and Oyedokun Tosin were the home-based players who travelled from London with the team.

Fourteen more players, including captain Wilfred Ndidi and dependable winger Moses Simon, are still expected to arrive in camp.

The Super Eagles will hold their first training session ahead of the semi-final fixture against the Warriors of Zimbabwe at Cray Valley FC, Middle Park Avenue, London SE9 5HP later tonight.

More players are expected to arrive at the team’s camp before the start of the training session.

The Warriors of Zimbabwe held their first training session in Birmingham on Friday after arriving in the United Kingdom on Thursday.

Kaitano Tembo’s side are expected to arrive in London on Sunday ahead of their clash with the Super Eagles.

The Super Eagles will take Zimbabwe in the first semi-final at the Valley, home ground of Sky Bet Championship club Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, 26 May.

India and Jamaica will do battle in the second semi-final at the same venue on Wednesday, 27 May.

The final which will also be played at the Valley is slated for Saturday, 30 May.
