Europe Beckoning For Departed Pirates Star?
Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Karim Kimvuidi could be set for a move to France, with a Ligue 2 club understood to be keen on his services following his exit from the Buccaneers.
With Orlando Pirates having confirmed earlier this week that they have parted ways with Karim Kimvuidi, indications are that the Congolese midfielder could be set for a move to Europe as he weighs up his next destination.
Kimvuidi officially became a free agent after the Buccaneers announced his departure as part of a squad restructuring ahead of the new season, bringing an end to his stay at the Soweto giants.

The 24-year-old spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Israeli side FC Ashdod, where he enjoyed more regular game time after struggling to establish himself as a consistent starter at Pirates.
Earlier this month, Kimvuidi confirmed his departure from Ashdod via social media, despite the club having an option to make his move permanent.
During his spell in Israel, the attacking midfielder made over 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and contributing two assists.
Now, information reaching the Siya crew suggests that the former Maritzburg United player could be heading to France, with interest believed to be coming from Ligue 2.
"Kimvuidi will be getting an offer from Ligue 2 in France. He is a free agent, which makes things simpler for him to get a club," a source with knowledge of the situation told the Siya crew.
The prospect of a move to France would represent a significant opportunity for the Congolese international, who remains highly regarded for his technical ability and creativity in the final third.

Having left both Pirates and Ashdod, Kimvuidi is understood to be assessing his options as he looks to secure a move that can provide stability and regular football at this stage of his career.
A move to Europe would also offer the midfielder a fresh platform to continue his development after a mixed spell in the PSL, where flashes of quality were often overshadowed by fierce competition for places in the Bucs squad.
