Earlier this week, we asked you whether Ruben Amorim was the right choice to take over as Milan head coach.
With his appointment now officially confirmed, the results make for interesting reading.
A clear majority of the 418 voters were unconvinced.
Oliver Glasner, fresh from winning the Conference League with Crystal Palace, was the preferred alternative with 38% of the vote, while a further 30% backed a different candidate and 8% wanted Mauricio Pochettino.
Just 3% would have chosen Arne Slot and only 21% of voters felt Amorim was the right man for the job.
It is a fascinating snapshot of the mood among the Milan-watching community, and one that Amorim will now have the chance to prove wrong.
One user expressed their doubts over the Portuguese coach but that they prefer it to an ‘old recycled Italian coach,’ while another dreamed of a move for former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
His record at Sporting and his reputation as one of Europe’s most exciting young coaches suggest the doubters may yet be won over. The next question is whether he can do it without Champions League football.
What do you think - have Milan made the right call? Let us know in the comments.
