Fans heading to the World Cup match between Morocco and Brazil at MetLife Stadium on June 13 are facing steep transportation costs and limited parking options, adding to already high ticket prices.

Organizers have banned general spectator parking at the stadium, reserving most lots for operations, VIPs, broadcast teams and designated fan zones. Nearby park-and-ride facilities have also been closed, according to reports.

As a result, some fans driving to the game are expected to pay between $225 and $300 to park at the nearby American Dream complex, where spaces are nearly sold out.

Other private parking options are also costly. At Redd’s restaurant, parking is priced at $225 per vehicle, with an additional $25 to $35 per person required for a shuttle wristband. For a group of four, the total cost can exceed $325.

MetLife Stadium, which will host eight World Cup matches including the final, has limited pedestrian access, meaning the more than 82,000 fans expected at each game will largely depend on public transportation.

The New York-New Jersey Host Committee recommends using NJ Transit rail or bus services via Secaucus Junction, a major transfer hub in New Jersey. Round-trip fares are expected to cost about $98.

The fare was initially set at $150 but was reduced following public backlash and sponsor support, though it remains significantly higher than standard rates, according to U.S. media reports.

Additional shuttle services are available from Nutley and two locations in Manhattan, with fares reduced to $20 from an initial $80.

Officials have warned against walking to the stadium, citing safety risks for fans, law enforcement and road users.
