Hull City told to increase bid for Rangers star Nicolas Raskin by '£6m' - BBC journalist
Rangers have received an offer for Nicolas Raskin from Hull City in the ongoing transfer window.
The Tigers reportedly have a definite interest in the Belgium international, who is currently with his national team at the 2026 World Cup.
Bologna have also been linked with the 25-year-old, who has been a key player for the Gers since his £1.5million move from Standard Liege.
The Ibrox hierarchy have now received an offer between £12m and £14m from Hull for Raskin, but are holding out for more.
With the Belgian ace currently at the World Cup, there will be plenty of eyes on him as speculation around his future at the Glaswegian outfit grows.
Whatever the case may be, the Govan side look set to make a hefty profit from the midfielder's sale, but it remains to be seen whether the recently promoted Premier League outfit can match their price tag.
Hull could be priced out of a move for Raskin due to the Gers' potential asking price this summer, BBC Sport journalist Mike White said.
The midfielder made 33 league appearances in the 2025-26 campaign, scoring six goals and providing seven assists for the Light Blues as Danny Rohl's team finished third in the table.
It has been claimed that the Glaswegian outfit wants around £20m for the Belgium international and the Tigers may not be able to afford him.
The MKM Stadium faithful saw their team clinch promotion to the Premier League after beating Middlesbrough in the Championship play-offs final and they must now build a squad to avoid relegation.
Speaking on BBC Sounds on 24 June, White said, "Raskin, Rangers midfielder. Definite interest, but I think the transfer fee is going to be a bit of a stumbling block with that. Bologna reportedly interested as well in that.
"I think Hull City have offered in the region of maybe £12m to £14m. He's valued higher than that, at about £20m and I think that's going to price him out at City."
Football Insider transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke shared on 22 June that apart from clubs in Italy and the Premier League, teams in Turkiye are in the race for Raskin's signature from Rangers.
With several teams keeping an eye on the midfielder's situation at Ibrox, the Gers will surely hope a bidding war will commence soon.
The Belgian national's exit from the Govan side feels inevitable sooner rather than later, with his current contract expiring in 2028 and further developments should be expected in the saga.
